Question: Right now the site is viewable to the public, should it stay that way or would this site be more valuable if it was private and we added an option for separate accounts for invited investors/individuals/mentors to join and view it? Advantages? Disadvantages?

I think visibility should be the ultimate goal. I vote to keep the feed public. Vconnect for example is invitation only (for now anyway) and this could possibly be beneficial (though I'm struggling to see all the reasons why). Also, think of those who stop by to read updates but don't currently work for a startup. They would be excluded from the activity, thus reducing the chances they become infected to become more entrepreneurial. Long answer for this short-form platform.

I agree as well. Keep feed public but membership remains invitation only for now. Important to maintain student startup based because that's the motivation behind the site, correct?
